Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American producer and actor, is known for playing in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as in The Mentalist. She earned a B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in theater, film and television. She began her acting career as a theater actress and then appeared in a number of shows on television as well as independent and mainstream movies. The actress was famous for her role in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. The series both received critical acclaim, but she also took home a variety of accolades. In 1995 she was the first actress to make her debut on stage in The Tempest as Ariel. Her stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. Her film career is highlighted through her roles on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. In the world of television, her character in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
